SMS Consent and Messaging Disclosure

This page documents the consent language os8 expects clinics to use for appointment-availability SMS. For toll-free verification, use this page alongside publicly hosted screenshots of the live clinic booking form that shows the unchecked consent checkbox and disclosure text.

What The Live Clinic Form Should Show

  1. Patient enters a mobile number on the clinic booking form.
  2. The SMS checkbox is unchecked by default and requires an explicit patient action.
  3. The checkbox language states that the patient agrees to receive text messages about earlier appointment openings from the named clinic via os8.
  4. Disclosure text appears next to the checkbox and covers message frequency, message and data rates, STOP and HELP instructions, and Terms and Privacy links.
  5. Public screenshots of that live clinic form should be hosted at stable URLs before toll-free verification is submitted.
